  2. After choosing a good, quiet, and clean place to do Kapalbhati. Sit there in Padmasana position.
  3. Now, to start Kapalbhati Pranayama further, take a breath inside the body at a normal speed, and it has to be taken out at a faster rate. This whole process should happen in one rhythm.
  4. Once every second, exhale the whole breath rapidly out of the nose; this will push the stomach in. In Kapalbhati, the effort should be made to exhale rapidly, only once every second. After exhaling, without holding the breath out, let the breath come in normally without making any effort. Keep exhaling rapidly every second. 
  5. In the beginning, if there is fatigue in exhaling sixty times in a minute, then exhale thirty to forty times in a minute, and with increasing practice, increase the speed to 60 breaths per minute.
  6. If Kapalbhati Pranayama is practised appropriately for a long time, its duration can be increased from five minutes to fifteen minutes.

Precautions:

  1. The patient with back pain should consult a doctor before doing Kapalbhati.
  2. Doing Kapalbhati to a heart patient can cause harm. Jaundice patients can also have severe problems if they do Kapalbhati.
  3. Doing Kapalbhati to the patient of Pitta Vayu may increase the problem. It is good to do Kapalbhati for two to three minutes during summer.
  4. A stressed person should not do Kapalbhati. Do this Pranayama only after calming the mind.
